IO is the innermost of the four Galilean moons of the planet Jupiter and also the name of Ana Béjar & Carlos Suero tandem, longtime friends that this project has brought together for the first time as musicians. Ana has released seven studio records and made numerous collaborations as a singer-songwriter, being part of the Spanish independent music scene for more than two decades. Carlos Suero has proved to be one of the most prolific and inventive musician in the current Spanish electronic music scene.
June 20, 2014 they are about to release their debut EP on 7MNS Music, a five-tracks record titled The innermost. Listening to Place, their first promotional single, you can indulge yourself to be carried away by distant sounds, and be truly moved by darkness and depth of the unknown elements of experimental stratum, where voices manage to blend effortlessly her lyrics, pursuing to break your code. In their apparently well restrained world, haunting electronic cadences along with harmonium endlessly notes and subtle electric guitar modulations alternate different perceptions to us, prompting you to look inside your inner self, trapped by the same light under they explore their own.
The innermost will be out and available only at 7MNS bandcamp and website.
